They say: “There are good ships. And there are wood ships. The ships that sail the sea. But the best ships are friendships… and may they always “
I introduce you Julie Ianc, editor in chief of Modic magazine. Also, my best friend.
It all started 21 years ago when we first met. We didn’t have much in common and yet here we are, sharing a lifetime together. Literally.
We were 7 when we met at the first day of primary school. The one thing that got us together..? Funny. Our heights. Sorry! The jokes about our heights. We’ve always been the tallest ones and seemed like aliens between the other kids. If you wonder… yeah, that was the only thing we had in common. Anyway, there were 4 years we had to spend together. Supposedly.
We ended up going at the same general school, high school, university, modeling agencies, even living together at some point. Don’t think we always got along with each other. We had our ups and downs. There were even months without talking. But you probably got it by now that most probably there was a force that wanted us together hahah.
And if you think that was it and at least our jobs would separate us, well… think again. Few years ago Julie joined #feericteam and we were also working together for Feeric Fashion Week. So basically she was everywhere, sometimes I needed some space. Joking, I know you read, wouldn’t change a thing!
And if it was not enough, she is now the editor in chief of Modic magazine, another #feericteam project. “Modic magazine is the Mod and Chic universe of high and quality fashion combined with a touch of beauty, lifestyle and entertainment tips”. I am really proud of her and the work she is doing there. The major task of the magazine “is to make sure that sustainability becomes the main concerning and the starting point of each fashion business”
Make sure you follow it so you will be up to date with news about high fashion, luxury brand and their sustainable strategies.
So here we are, traveling the world together and working for what we both love the most. For the 7 years old girls we were back then, if I could tell them something… I wouldn’t. they did a great job and built a friendship that will last forever along the way.
After all this, could you picture us together at 80?
