Why does time fly so fast? Feels like yesterday was still January when I was about to start my packing frenzy but it’s actually the last day of this amazing adventure. I must admit that I’m a bit sad for that but also happy for everything we have accomplished in our journey and can’t wait to be back home to start working for the 10th edition of Feeric Fashion Week.
The last days spent in Argentina were a blessing and there couldn’t have been a better way to make my exit from this city. In the previous article I started to write about the piece of heaven where I spent a great time with my team. So now I will try to make you understand what Andrea Garmendia’s land offered us.
Think of an endless road in the middle of nature, surrounded just by grass and blue sky. As you walk along, suddenly a narrow road on the right appears so we take it and we reach this farm surrounded by trees. We were welcomed by 2 dogs, tranquility in the air, Julia and Hugo that greeted us with hugs and besitos and so much delicious food that it was more than needed after the long road from Buenos Aires.
Andrea is such a good host and carefully planed for us a lot of beautiful moments. After the meal the horses were waiting for us. I was so excited to ride as it was a childhood dream! So Hugo introduced Sofia to me, a powerful strong beautiful creature that was ready to spend the evening with me. I had no idea how to ride and after a moment I realized I was alone there, my team was already far and I understood Sofia doesn’t move with please and pretty please. Her 2 babies also joined us so now we were 4 with no idea with what to do and where to go. Pretty please was still not working. Thanks god Diego heard me asking for help and explained how to make Sofia move. So we started our walk in that magical land and the feeling of freedom that I got couldn’t be destroyed even by the mosquitos that literally ate me alive.
It was a feeling that I never wanted to let go and that made me love even more the moments I was living.
I let Sofia with her babies afterwards and joined my team for a glass of wine next to the fire place. The smell of the burning wood and the view of the fire made me move from the sofa to the carpet. As I lied down on it I let myself carried away and fell asleep next to the fireplace.
Woke up after a while and moved to the room that Andrea prepared for me and Maria Laura, a beautiful Argentinian model that I met at Sarah Jessy Jones show who joined us for the weekend. The room was a dreamy place for girls, being the room of her 2 daughters, pink, full of dolls, cozy and cute. Next day I woke up so fresh and full of joy with a deep desire to discover more of this land. After the breakfast made by Julia we took a car and went on the field to see the cows and shoot some pictures. A great view, green grass and hundreds of black cows. Couldn’t miss that for pictures. Coming back from the field the best thing to do was jump in the swimming pool hidden in between some trees. It was sooo refreshing and gave me more energy for guess what: another ride with Sofia. The lunch was already waiting for us and usually I take time for eating but this time I was on a rush just to have more time with the horses. Guess I developed a new hobby, let’s see if it sticks with me.
And when I thought that was all until Andreea took us in the middle of the camp where they were taking care of the cows. Now that was something like wow. I was surprised to see how much respect they pay to these animals and how well treated they are. Was the perfect moment to see there all the gauchos and their gauchitos treating each cow and to learn more about this aspect. We spent another great night in the house where I found books about the farms and the gauchos and it’s way better than i saw in soap operas.
Sadly it was the moment for us to leave the paradise but I will always remember my time there. Thank-you Andreea for such great memories! I will always be grateful for everything you offered us.
On our way back to Buenos Aires we had a some short session of shopping cause I couldn’t leave this place without some dulce de leche.
Last night was a total surprise, a great party was the perfect recipe to end this amazing journey and be with all my friends from Argentina.
I will start packing now, probably with a tear in my eye because it’s just hard to leave this heaven behind. But hopefully I will be back to discover more. Big thanks to Eduardo and Diego who made this trip one of the best I ever had! Next time we will meet it’ll be at Feeric so we have to make them #feelfeeric again.
